Most of the following older dates were found in the book titled "Langruth Along the Crocus Trail", 1983, and compiled by the Langruth Historical Society, ISBN 0-920436-42-0.
1898 - first picnic held on July 1st at Big Point School
1900 - Big Point cemetery first burial
1900 - Lakeland Cemetery formed
1904 - May - Big Point Hall built
1907 - Mr. Langdon and Mr. Ruth move to Manitoba
1907 - railroad extended to Langruth
1909 - 1916 - Big Grass Marsh drained
1910 - first buildings constructed on town site
1910 - first train comes to town
1910 - United Church built in North Lakeland
1911 - Erlendson/Red and White store built
1911 - first automobile (Mr. Williams)
1911 - first Post Office and Barber Shop
1912 - brick School and Butcher Shop built
1912 - first baby born (Arnold Erlendson)
1913 - Barber Shop and Pool Room burned
1913 - Big Point cemetery registered
1913 - first community picnic
1913 - oil found in gypsum at 150 feet
1914 - 1925 - Langruth Weekly Herald in print
1914 - bush fire almost destroyed town
1914 - telephone lines installed to town
1915 - first grain elevator (Federal)
1915 - Hanneson Store built

1917 - first doctor (Dr. Abner Sproule)

1920 - area invaded by grasshoppers

1920 - Rural Municipality of Lakeview formed
1923 - first Community Hall committee formed
1923 - United Church moved to Langruth

1929 - 1930 - Lutheran Church built
1934 - Community Hall burned

1934 - ratepayers of the Lakeside School protest amalgamation with Amana
1938 - Big Grass Marsh restoration begun
1945 - Lakeview Community Pasture opened
1945 - Legion formed (#162)
1946 - Ladies Auxilary formed
1947 - cenotaph unveiled
1947 - first Memorial and Remembrance Days
1949 - Dec 9 - electricity first available
1949 - first Curling Rink built
1952 - B.P.O.E. (Elks) founded
1953 - 1982 - Coronation School (white school)
1953 - CGIT formed
1953 - Order of Royal Purple founded
1957 - Elks Lodge built
1959 - Dept of Transport V.O.R. established
1959 - Langruth joined Pine Creek School Division
1960 - cement sidewalks poured
1960 - ice rink across from Legion built
1960 - south school built
1961 - Hollywood beach road bridge built
1961 - Plumas road bridge built
1967 - 68 - Curling rink moved to Sports Grounds
1967 - Hollywood beach opened
1967 - Langruth Elementary School joined the Pine Creek School Division
1971 - High School closed (students attend Gladstone)
1975 - dial telephones installed
1976 - first golf course (4 holes)
1976 - Westlake Co-op constructed
1977 - Bill Smith purchased Federal Elevator and it was torn down
1977 - first Sports Arena built
1977 - Happy Gang for senior citizens formed
1977 - Heritage museum opened
1977 - indoor skating rink built
1977 - Library opened
1978 - main street paved curb to curb
1978 - water resevoir built at Big Point
1981 - first Senior Citizen Housing duplex
1982 - sasquatch seen south of town by highway
1982 - south school added gym and library
